Yes, it is a predictor of likelihood, apparently 90 seconds is the nearest it’s ever been, but I’m sure I recall it being 60 seconds to midnight.
What is the point of this clock other than a fear mongering PR stunt!

The doomsday is based on war, climate and potential threats of many kinds.

What really is the purpose of this clock other than to worry people, I very much doubt that politicians see this and decide to shelve their world domination plans! We are best to focus on the good things that happen on this earth, turn your mind to love, peace and joy in the simple things that are around you and the bigger things will sort themselves out.
