Email received on January 6 from a woman who had just returned from a trip to Ukraine. The news story above cries out for her letter to be reported. Here is her report:

----------

I just got back from Ukraine, where I was visiting some friends.

Everything we have heard about what’s happening in Ukraine is a lie.

The reality is darker, bleaker, and unequivocally hopeless. There is no such thing as Ukraine "winning" this war.

- By their estimates, they have lost over one million of their sons, fathers and husbands; an entire generation is gone.
- Even in the Southwest, where the anti-Russian sentiment is long-standing, citizens are reluctant or straight-up scared to publicly criticize Zelensky; they will go to jail.
- In every village and town, the streets, shops, and restaurants are mostly absent of men.
- The few men who remain are terrified of leaving their homes for fear of being kidnapped into conscription. Some have resorted to begging friends to break their legs to avoid service.
- Army search parties take place early in the morning, when men leave their homes to go to work. They ambush and kidnap them off the streets and within 3-4 hours they get listed in the army and taken away straight to the front lines with minimal or no training at all; it is "a death sentence."
- It's getting worse every day. Where I was staying, a dentist had just been taken by security forces on his way to work, leaving behind two small children. Every day, 3-5 dead bodies keep arriving from the front lines.
- Mothers and wives fight tooth and nail with the armed forces, beg and plead not to have their men taken away. They try bribing, which sometimes works, but most of the time they are met with physical violence and death threats.
- The territory celebrated as having been "won back" from Russia has been reduced to rubble and is uninhabitable. Regardless, there is no one left to live there and displaced families will likely never return.
- They see the way the war has been reported, at home and abroad. It's a "joke" and "propaganda." They say: “Look around: is this winning?”.
- Worse, some have been hoaxed into believing that once Ukrainians forces are exhausted, American soldiers will come in to replace them and “win the war”.

There is no ambiguity in these people. The war was for nothing - a travesty. The outcome always was, and is, clear. The people are hopeless, utterly destroyed, and living in an unending nightmare.

They are pleading for an end, any end - most likely the same "peace" that could have been achieved two years ago. In their minds, they have already lost, for their sons, fathers and husbands are gone, and their country has been destroyed. There is no "victory" that can change that.

Make no mistake, they are angry with Putin. But they are also angry with Zelensky and the West. They have lost everything, worst of all, hope and faith, and cannot comprehend why Zelensky wishes to continue the current trajectory, the one of human devastation.

I didn't witness the war; but what I saw was absolutely heart-breaking.

Shame on the people, regardless of their intentions, who have supported this war. And shame on the media for continuing to lie about it.

This is a truly devastating read and one which will possibly shock Main stream news followers. Personally I get my news from multiple sources, including outside the Uk sources and this post is depicted very well in other news sources.

Sadly, the countries that financially back the wars also present a propaganda that fits the narrative to keep the people on side. All countries do it, I just wish the people would wake up to this very, very old trick and maybe then they would be more critical in their analysis and start to call out the financiers! Peace would come along a lot quicker that way!

I think if this information was more widely available in the main stream media, rather than the glamour of war and winning side etc, more people would be vocal about finding a peaceful solution.

I think there is a world movement against war, people are not as committed as they once were towards fighting and people are sick of the politicians giving so much money to other countries for war.

I was reading today that some of the male Ukrainians are trying to get a leg removed to prevent them being called up, or to get them out of their current service :ykies you just can’t imagine the mind set these people are in.

The war is simply a lost one, and these people are giving up their lives for nothing. Eventually, the politicians will have to come to a conclusion around a table and sort it all out, it would have been better id]f that had been done 18 - 24 months ago now! Save the poor Ukrainians and Russians fighting a war they didn’t start and get no benefit from.

It’s heart breaking to watch the events unfolding around the world, it is clear to see who is backing, funding and pushing for war. I wish the Ukrainian people would stand up and say no more to war.
Today the doomsday clock has declared it 90 seconds to midnight, we live in troubled times. My only hope is that these people that have died in wars have not done so in vein, and that the result is eternal peace throughout the world.

I thought the conflict in Ukraine was coming to an end, but it seems it is ramping up again with all the fear mongering. It’s crazy how NATO are constantly banging the drum about a Russian threat, all the while Putin is busy doing business elsewhere. I have no doubt that he would be able to come to some peace agreement, so he can fully focus on BRICS and his economic expansion.

It’s reported today that Brits will be expected to step up and fight in the event of a European war against Russia!

It’s weird because they state it may happen in the next 20 years, but know that we won’t have enough armed forces! My only feeling on this is that they are clearly expecting a war in the next 2 years!

To say they can’t let Ukraine be defeated is laughable, it has already lost. So the time frames they are putting out are deeply questionable.

It seems to be really ramping up at the moment, either something is going to happen imminently, or it’s all fear mongering, or it’s an excuse to print more money for the military economy!

It looks like Trump V’s Biden, they can’t let that happen, so they will have to come up with some plan to stop the election (a war breaking out may do that), or prevent Trump from running (too obvious), so a war it is! A famous person once said, if all else fails they take you to war!
