Eucalyptus
Indigenous to Australia and used medicinally by the Aborigines. Eucalyptus is now cultivated globally from North Africa to California, as well as Australia. The oil, which is extracted by steam distillation of the leaves and young twigs, is a common ingredient in decongestants.
Eucalyptus has strong medicinal and Camphor smell, with slight woody undertones.

when used as an inhalation or a chest rub it an help to fight off chesty coughs, flu, sinusitis, bronchitis and pneumonia. It can help to ease breathing and has a warming effect.


Urinary
When used in a sitz bath it can help genital infections and cystitis.


Environment
An excellent antiseptic spray for a sick room.

I love the smell of eucalyptus, it really is uplifting. I tens to use my essential oil in my diffuser or I add it too a carrier oil such as coconut oil and use it to deter the gnats in the summer.
