Deep nutrition, published in 2018 and written by Catherine Shanahan is an in-depth book looking at the connection between our diet and our health. Deep Nutrition cuts through today's culture of conflicting nutritional ideologies, showing how the habits of our ancestors can help us lead longer, healthier, more vital lives.

In this book Catherine illustrates how the diet our ancestors ate have shaped who we are today, and discusses the implications of our own diet on not only our existing genome, but on our future children and their children. This is a very powerful book, that is at times slow reading, due to the complexity of the subject, but it is well written and definitely deserves a place on your bookshelf or tablet.

I have read this, and would certainly recommended it, I think she builds on existing knowledge and research and certainly emerging knowledge around gene expression and how our diet can directly affect our genes nd risks to certain diseases.

There seems to be quite a few health scientists that are linking our diet to our Gene expression, yet people still refer to it as being hereditary
