I read with some interest that youngsters (people in their 20's and younger) are offended by punctuation and that putting a fullstops at the end of a sentence is considered aggressive! :eek in fact using a fullstops is considered overly hostile :doh

Since reading this, I have now found myself wondering at what point I should use punctuation, when not, I don't want to offend, is someone Black, White, Gay, in-between, sitting on the fence, white and male, but identifies as Black and female... jeez, I'm so confused by this new world.... how should I spell hermit? capital H or not?

I heard this utter nonsense too and a full stop is punctuation and means you have reached the end of a sentence or phrase; nothing more, nothing less. Notice my use a pod a full stop there? I say get a bloody grip and concentrate on something more important!

I think an exclamation mark is more offensive than a full stop! :jb:

Why would a full stop offend you? The world has gone mad :ykies

I think they (woke people) see it as aggressive :ne_nau: I don’t think they have a problem when it is used in a formal sense, but when used in an email, or in a text, it is seen very differently.

Personally, I love punctuation. It helps me to understand they way in which the author wanted me to read what they were saying. Have you ever tried to read a piece of text without punctuation? :doh
