Eben Bayer presents his solution for Eco-friendly packaging, Eben is the co-inventor of MycoBond, he uses the power of mycelium, an organic, growing organism to turn agriwaste into an environmentally friendly fungus-based packaging material that protects fragile contents like furniture, electrical items, including plasma screens.

This innovative idea has the potential to change the way we package items in the future and more importantly offers us a opportunity to start protecting the planets fragile resources, whilst offering a more environmentally friendly and sustainable way of disposing our rubbish.

I find there is packaging for the sake of packaging, does a cucumber really need a plastic wrap, I think we could cut packaging down drastically but sadly it’s often the packaging that attracts the consumer to buy.
