I picked up a copy of ‘plant based’ magazine whilst out shopping, not intentionally, in fact I didn’t even know such a magazine existed. I was perusing the isles for the latest ‘home’ magazine and noticed that there is an array of Vegan magazines and this ‘Plant based’ one.

It was £4.99, which as magazines go is a considered purchase :eek, but I thought I’d give it a go.

It’s full of info and news on all things Plant based, and the web site backs this up too. But the best part is the collection of recipes, which make this magazine worthy of its hefty price tag.

My only complaint is that some of the recipes use caster sugar, a big no-no in my book.

Hi Claire, thanks for the info on the magazine, I believe if you take out a subscription you can get the magazine for £3.35 each copy this is over a 10 month subscription, certainly worth a consideration.

But caster sugar is derived from a plant. The magazine doesn’t suggest it is healthy.

I’ve bought this magazine recently, I have to say, some of the foods they suggest are just not readily available in many out of city areas.

Good mag though, and I have use alternative ingredients if I have not been above to source the recommended one.

I like the fact that you get to read about products that are related to your interests. Most mags you find a smidge of info hidden in the magazine. Its nice that this lifestyle is being recognised as worthy of a mag, after-all there are numerous specialist mags available.
