I love my green smoothies and make a concerted effort to have one every day. I have often been asked for some recipe ideas for the green smoothies, so hear are some ideas.
This recipe is a very basic one that I started with, I use spinach because it is more palatable than kale, but you can use kale or a cup of each. This recipe is quite sweet and is mild enough that children will love to drink it too.
Over time, you can adjust the ingredients to suit your taste.
2 Ripe bananas (spots should start to appear on the skin)
1 Cup of water
2-3 cups of spinach
1/2 cup of berries strawberries, raspberries, blackberries etc
When blending in your blender add the water and fruits first followed by the spinach, this helps to blend the spinach easier.
Put all the ingredients into your blender and blend until a nice smooth even colour.
For the greatest benefits, drink immediately,
