I see this thread hasn't been started, so I thought I would start things off.

It is lovely to go to a reflexologist for a massage, but we don't always have the time or money. But, using this image you or your partner, can give yourself a mini reflexology massage and reap the benefits of it.

So, the idea is that if you have a problem somewhere on your body and you rub the associating area on your foot the problem may ease? Is this correct?

Yes, every part of your foot is linked to an area on your body. So the theory is that if you treated the area on the foot, then the associated area on the body will benefit.

This is like phrenology but on the feet.

If this is the case, surely all our organs would massaged whilst we walk.

I tried reflexology once, but found I couldn't relax enough to enjoy it, it seems weird someone touching your feet.

I think it is fair to say that if you are not one to have your feet touched then this is not the therapy for you.

I have not tried reflexology via a therapist, but I have done some self massage and while I can not attest to the cure of any ailments, I do find it quite relaxing.

No, I have to say no! Reflexology should be a relaxing therapy. It like giving yourself a shoulder rub, it just isn't the same.
Reflexology, like all therapies should be done by some one else, it is the whole process that adds to the benefits, the environment, the feeling of relaxation, the music and smells..... treat yourself and get someone to deliver your reflexology.

Thank you for sharing this, I often sit rubbing my feet at the end of a hard day but it would be good to target particular areas.
